Charly Boy Blasts EFCC For Chasing Rats While Nation Burns By Treasury Looters

Veteran Artist and social rights crusader, Charly Boy, aka Area Fada 1, has criticised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for indulging in frivolities, instead of facing the real tasks of riding the nation of corrupt practices and treasury looters whom he said are doing harm to the country than those spraying Naira at social functions as aspects of bunding.

Writing in his X handle against the backdrop of the arraignment of Instagram celebrity, Paschal Okechukwu a.k.a. Cubana Chief Priest, for abuse of Naira (spraying Naira) at social events, by the EFCC, Charly Boy insisted that spraying Naira is “age-long familiar culture which further promotes bunding among the people, rather than crime.”

According to him, ” Why focus massive energy, on frivolous, pedestrian, and harmless misdemeanor by people catching fun rather than going after those who use executive powers to steal humongous amounts from the public Treasury with reckless impunity?”

Currently, the attention of Nigerians is being drawn to an issue that has no bearing whatsoever, on the well-being of the ordinary people or the National economy. The arrest and arraignment of person or persons spraying the local currency, Naira, at social events is now a fucking Big deal.

Although, there is a Central Bank Act of 2007 that prohibits abuse of Naira, which also frowns at spraying the country’s currency at social functions, this has to be seen and the part of our age-long familiar culture which further promotes bunding among the people, rather than crime.

The filing of three-count charge against Instagram celebrity, Paschal Okechukwu a.k.a. Cubana Chief Priest, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over what it described as spraying and tampering with the Naira at a social event, leaves one thinking that the Commission has no important job to do, always indulging it’s self with frivolous shenanigans to keep distracting poor hungry and hopeless Nigerians.
