A building belonging to the popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho in Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital has reportedly been burnt down by unknown men.

However, unverified sources revealed that the act might have been carried out by Fulani herdsmen as a reprisal for the activist’s tough stance against their continuous stay in the southwest part of the country.

EyewitnessMedia gathered that the building which occupied Igboho and other members of his family till they relocated to a mansion in Ibadan was reportedly set ablaze in the early hours of Tuesday after electricity was switched off around the whole area.

The development may not be unconnected with what played out in Igangan recently, several houses belonging to the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, were allegedly set on fire by aggrieved youths in Igangan community of Ibarapa zone of Oyo State, on Friday night after the visit of Igboho to enforce his seven-day quit notice to the Fulani herdsmen in the area.
