PTAD Pays Over N1.56 Billion To 500 Deceased Nitel/Mtel Pensioners’ Next Of Kins

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has paid the sum of N1,565,190,623.12 to 500 Next of Kins (NoKs) of the Deceased Pensioners of defunct Nitel/Mtel under the Defined Benefit Scheme.

The Next of Kins who are beneficiaries of deceased Nitel/Mtel Pensioners who died after service have completed the process of documentation and have been cleared for payment by the Federal Auditors.

PTAD, Executive Secretary, Sharon Ikeazor explained that the timely payment was achieved through diligent verification exercise conducted by the Directorate to authenticate genuine Noks before payment was made.

She assured those who are yet to be paid of the Directorate’s commitment to see that all NoKs receive their entitlement, according to a statement by the management of the Directorate.
