President Tinubu Heads To France Monday As Presidency Gives No Detail

President Bola Tinubu is set to jet to  France on Monday, August 19, from Abuja, the nation’s capital, according to presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale in a two terse paragraphs statement.

Although, he did not disclose details of the trip including delegates accompanying the president, purpose and duration, Ngelale said the “President will return to the country after his brief work stay in France.”

No further detail was revealed by the Presidency.

But OPTIMUM TIMES reports that Nigeria has a pending case in France leading to the seizure of nation’s presidential Jets in France by a Chinese firm, Messrs. Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited.

The three presidential aircrafts are allegedly in France for routine maintenance but suddenly got  temporary attachment pursuant to exparte orders issued by the Judicial Court of Paris dated 7 March 2024 and 12 August 2024 respectively at the instance of Messrs. Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, a Chinese company seeking to enforce a Final Award granted in its favour on 26 March 2021, against one of Nigeria’s sub-nationals, Ogun State.
