AIICO Dumps External Venues, Opens Multi-Purpose Conference Centre

AIICO Insurance Plc has unveiled a newly upgraded Learning and Conference Centre at its head office in Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of efforts to strengthen employee development and expand its corporate event facilities.

The centre, equipped with modern multimedia facilities and technology-enabled infrastructure, is designed to accommodate training programmes, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposiums, workshops and corporate strategy sessions.

Speaking at the unveiling, the Chief Human Resources Officer of AIICO Insurance, Mr. Oluyemi Obakin, said the facility would provide an enabling environment for learning, collaboration and professional development.

According to him, the investment reflects the company’s commitment to creating a workplace that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

He said the upgraded centre would provide greater flexibility in delivering training programmes while improving employee engagement and collaboration.

Also speaking, the Chief Financial Officer of AIICO Insurance, Mrs. Bisola Elias, said the investment would deliver operational and strategic benefits by reducing the company’s reliance on external venues for corporate engagements.

Elias noted that having a modern conference facility within the company’s premises would provide greater flexibility in organising training programmes, workshops and strategy sessions while helping to retain more value within the organisation.

She added that the centre would also be available to external users, including businesses, professional bodies and other organisations seeking conference and event facilities in Victoria Island.

The facility’s multimedia infrastructure is designed to support presentations, hybrid meetings and other professional engagements, while its location in Victoria Island provides access to businesses and professionals within Lagos.

The opening of the centre also expands AIICO’s corporate infrastructure beyond its internal training needs, offering an additional venue for professional gatherings and knowledge exchange.
