Jigawa Speaker, Dangyatin Secures 3rd Term Ticket

The Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin is set to make a third term return to the assembly as he won the mandate to represent Miga State Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Speaker, whose nomination was carried out through a unanimous affirmation during the primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which took place at the local government headquarters in Miga on Wednesday, witnessed thousands of supporters and major political stakeholders from the area.

Dangyatin, who is the Chairman of the Progressives Speakers’ Forum (PSF) and Chairman of the Northwest Speakers’ Conference, was first elected to represent Miga in the Assembly in 2019 and was re-elected for the second term in 2023.

The primaries was conducted peacefully across the state as over 80 percent of the party candidates  emerged through consensus.

Dangyatin promised to continue pursuing for the projects programs and laws that will improved the social and economic life of his constituency and Jigawa state people at large.

He however promised to continue proving cordial relationship between legislative and executives for the successful implementation of Governor Namadi 12-Point agenda that have been yielding fruitful result in the last three years.

“We will continue to support our leader Hos Excellency governor Malam Umar Name is transformational agenda designed to take jigawa state prosperous and great”

I thank all the APC stakeholders in my constituency who have shown their confidence in me approving for to also stand as party’s flag bearer for the next coming 2027 general election”.

Reacting to the outcome of state assembly primaries across the state, the state chairman of APC Alhaji Ahmed Maikudi Garba said, the exercise which was third phase of the process had been conducted very successfully as the previous ones for the National Assembly

He noted that, every primaries conducted is regards as a yardstick that strengthens our confidence in delivering Jigawa state to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also winning all the seats to be contested in the next elections

The APC boss thanked the APC Primaries Election Committee from the party’s national headquarters, the state governor Malam Umar Namadi and all APC stakeholders and members that contributed in different capacities for the success of the exercise

“As we are gearing up for the governorship primary which will be the last phase of the exercise, at the state level on Thursday, we assure Jigawa people that APC government will continue to stand by them through delivering dividends of democracy to their doorstep”, he submitted.
