Insurance Meets Tech (IMT), West Africa’s leading platform at the intersection of insurance and technology, is gearing up for its much-anticipated fourth edition.
The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja, Lagos.
Themed “Innovating for the New Trybe,” IMT 4.0 promises to be a convergence point for industry leaders, tech innovators, creatives, and policy shapers looking to shape the future of insurance in Africa’s digital economy.
This year’s headline speaker is Per Lagerström, a former Partner at McKinsey & Company and globally respected innovator in insurtech, financial services, and behavioral technology.
Lagerström is the founder of BehaviorTech a pioneering concept at the crossroads of behavioral science, AI, and innovation and currently serves as CEO of Yellowspot, an Ireland-based venture studio focused on disruptive ventures in finance, education, and longevity.
“Financial services are undergoing rapid and fundamental change, driven by AI inflection and BehaviorTech advances,” Lagerström said ahead of the event.
“IMT presents a unique opportunity to explore how these forces are reshaping value creation, and I’m thrilled to share insights that help leaders navigate this complexity.”
Speaking on the choice of speakers, the Convener and CEO of Modion Communications, Odion Aleobua, described this year’s speaker lineup and theme as fitting for the times.
“We are honoured to welcome Per Lagerström to Lagos. His leadership at the forefront of BehaviorTech and insurtech embodies the kind of global perspective and depth IMT 4.0 aims to deliver.
This year, we’re not just talking insurance we’re defining its role in a new generational context,” Aleobua said.
Also announced is the first strategic sponsor for IMT 4.0: CubeCover, one of Nigeria’s emerging leaders in microinsurance and insurtech, joins as Gold Sponsor, signaling early momentum for what promises to be a milestone edition.
As the countdown begins, industry players, innovators, and change-makers are set to gather in Lagos this September to unlock bold ideas, challenge assumptions, and reimagine the future of protection in Africa’s fast-evolving digital economy.
