Stakeholders in Nigeria ask for coordinated action to humanize the energy sector.

Participants at a four days energy submit have called for more collaboration from all stakeholders to humanizing energy in Nigeria. 

They made the call on Monday in Abuja at the 6th edition of Nigeria international Energy Submit. N.I.E.S (2023), hosted by Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Federal Republic of Nigeria in collaboration with the federal government of Nigeria with the theme: Global perspective for a sustainable energy future. 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Ehimhen Agunloye Business Opportunity Manager, Shell Petroleum Dev. Co discusses energy transition and the energy mix of the future.

“Until we start to think of energy from the human stand point, we cannot talk about energy transition.”

Chairman Petroleum Contractors Trade Sections (PCTS-LCCI) Tayo Akinwumi during a panel discussion explained highlighted that the importance of technology in energy is accessibility. He employed technology companies to provide energy at affordable price. 

While emphasizing the need for training and retraining so as to ensure every hands on deck in the humanizing of energy. 

Research Professor and Chair at University of Cape Coast, Prof. Wumi Iledare, emphasized four key elements in humanization of energy which includes accessibility, availability, acceptability and affordability. 

The event is organized by Brevity Anderson, with lead sponsors like Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), Nigeria LNG Limited, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Total energies and Exxon Mobil. 

Major highlights of the event was International Panel Discussion on humanizing energies, award presentation amongst others.

It was attended by registered delegates and dignitaries from across the world
