Senator Ubah’s Death Shocking, Speaker Abbas Mourns Anambra-South Lawmaker

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, has expressed shock over the death of the lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

The Speaker expressed sadness and shock in a condolence message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, in Abuja on Saturday.

Senator Ubah, who was a businessman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kapital Oil, reportedly died in London on Saturday.

Speaker Abbas, who described Senator Ubah as one of the pillars of the ruling APC in the South-East geopolitical zone, also said he was a dedicated lawmaker, successful businessman and great philanthropist.

The Speaker recalled how Senator Ubah recently donated funds supporting the APC in Anambra State, and how the late lawmaker celebrated the creation of the South East Development Commission a few days ago.

Speaker Abbas extended his condolences to the Ubah family, people, and government of Anambra State, and the Senate for the “huge loss.”

The Speaker prayed to God to grant Senator Ubah eternal rest.
