The Labour Party Presidential Campaign nationwide on Wednesday received boosts with the launch of a book on the flag-bearer, Mr. Peter Obi.
The book, “Peter Obi’s Leadership Values and Legacies”, launched in Abuja Wednesday, gives an incisive insight into Mr. Obi’s sterling characters dearly needed in Nigeria’s leadership cadre.
During the launch and public presentation of the book, the Chairman of the event, Barr. Isaac Okpanachi, noted that as the nation heads towards the 2023 general elections, God has provided Nigerians another golden opportunity to rewrite their history and that of the country.
He said the option left to Nigerians is to do whatever they can do, no matter how small, to push the project of getting good leaders for the country.

On his part, the reviewer of the book, a University don and Professor of Marketing and Communication, National Open University of Nigeria, Prof. Mande Samaila, noted that the launch of the book marks the beginning of Nigeria first.
He noted that what Nigeria needs now a radical departure from the old ways of doing things or what had been obtainable in the past years through what he called Business Process Reengineering (BPR) under Leadership of Mr. Peter Obi so that the country can have competitive edge.
He described the book as an excellent compendium with 113 pages. He noted that the book was divided into two parts, adding that while part one deals with the values of Obi, part two dwells on leadership.
Prof. Samaila identified some of the Obi’s values including: Good success mindedness, progress mindedness, character and integrity, connecting with the people, building trust, selflessness, contentment, simplicity, productivity, resilience, patriotism, rule of law, legacies, among others.
He went further to identify that the part two of the book cited some of the leadership trust and goals of Mr. Obi such as Quality education, Agricultural revolution, Security, prudent funds management, Industrial revolution, gender inclusiveness, among others.
He maintained that what electorates should have at the back of their mind in the choice of their leaders are these values and characters as epitomized in Peter Obi. He canvassed that everyone need to have the book to read and imbibe such values as part of contribution to move the nation forward.
Among the dignitaries who graced the book launch are: the special guest of honor and Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party, Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti who was represented by Col. C. Obasi PhD; Dr. E. C. Onwuka, Dr. Chuks Odo, Mr. Austin Barry Ifedi, Dr. (Mrs) Ngozie Nwannekezie, Chief Obiagbaka, Dr. (Mrs) Ezeoneala, Dr. Geff Ojinika, among others.
The Author of the book, Bertrand Okeomah, expressed gratitude all for their various contributions which crystalized into the launching of the book.
