Nigeria Air: FG Suspends Project Indefinitely

The Federal Government has deflated the hope of Nigerians on the National Carrier named ‘Nigeria Air’ as procurement of project was indefinitely suspended by FG

Speaking to newsmen today in Abuja, Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika pointed out that the decision to suspend the project was strategic and had nothing to do with politics or pressure from stakeholders.

The Airline which was unveiled in July 18, 2018 was announced to take off in December, 2018 by the Minister of State for Aviation despite the inability to commence the certification for the project to be a legal entity.

He said the federal government took the decision to suspend the procurement of Nigeria Air at the federal executive council meeting.
