In a display of industry collaboration, the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) Governing Council, under the leadership of incoming Chairman Mr. Kunle Ahmed has pledged unwavering support to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
The NIA Incoming Chairman who was accompanied by members of the governing council of the Association revealed the Association’s support during a courtesy visit to NAICOM, Thursday, 9th May 2024.
He extended warm congratulations to the newly appointed Executive Management of NAICOM, led by Commissioner for Insurance/CEO Mr. Segun Ayo Omosehin.
Expressing gratitude for NAICOM’s pivotal role in maintaining a fair and stable insurance sector, Mr. Ahmed emphasized the importance of swift action in implementing the ten-year strategic plan and finalizing the consolidated insurance bill.
Amidst discussions, the NAICOM briefed the NIA delegation on the ongoing review of its strategic plan to align it with the Nigerian Insurance Industry’s ten-year roadmap, setting the stage for comprehensive industry growth.
In response, Commissioner for Insurance Mr. Segun Ayo Omosehin assured continued collaboration with the NIA, stressing the importance of safeguarding consumer rights, particularly in ensuring the prompt settlement of genuine claims.
His commitment underscored the Executive Management’s ambition to drive growth within the Nigerian Insurance Market.
