The Nigerian Association of Insurance and Pension Editors (NAIPE) will hold its 9th Annual Conference on October 8, 2024, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Themed “Towards A $1 Trillion Economy: Roles of Insurance And Pension Sectors,” the conference aims to explore the contributions of these sectors to Nigeria’s economic goals.
Former Commissioner for Insurance and current Managing Director/CEO of FBS Reinsurance Limited, Mr. Fola Daniel, will chair the event.
Dr. Afolabi Olowookere, Managing Director and Chief Economist of Analysts Data Services and Resources, will deliver the keynote address.
The conference is expected to gather over 250 stakeholders from the insurance, pension, finance, and trade industries.
The discussions will focus on leveraging the insurance and pension sectors to support the government’s target of achieving a $1 trillion GDP by 2026, as outlined by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 29th Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) session.
Special Guests of Honour include the newly appointed Commissioner for Insurance/CEO of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Olusegun Omosehin, and the Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Mrs. Omolola Bridget Oloworaran.
NAIPE Chairperson Mrs. Nkechi Naeche-Esezobor emphasized the importance of the theme, noting the need for industry operators to stay relevant and impactful.
