LASU, Jobberman Partner For Students’ Economic Empowerment

The Management of the Lagos State University has rolled it sleeves to ensure the economy empowerment of its students.

The varsity in partnership with Jobberman in its ongoing two-day Career Fair which kicked off Tuesday at the university premises in Lagos aims at throwing up opportunities for its undergraduate to maximize.

Speaking at the event the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun SAN NPOM appreciated Jobberman for believing in the institution.

He said I must start by appreciating Jobberman. What they are doing for us is yeoman. We say thank you to you for believing in us as an institution. Thank you for recognizing the fact that we have amazing world-class students in LASU.

On the career fair he said “this programme is unique to us because four years ago, we didn’t have the opportunity like this to hold this kind of programme. .

“Today, working together, we have changed the narrative of our institution. By the time you are through with this exercise, you will be coming back to LASU over and over again.

In his optimism, Fagbohun said “My dear students, by the time you pass through the University, you have a goal to be able to contribute positively to the national life. Many don’t have the opportunity you have.”

“What Jobberman is doing for us is to throw up many opportunities for us to maximize. As an institution, we will also remain credible partners with you.”

“Our students, the next two days will be critical. It’s an opportunity for you to learn and prepare yourself for the competitive world of work,” he urged.

In the course of the event participants were made to go through Job Briefing, CV Writing, Cover Letter Writing and Interview Preparation.
