Jigawa APC Passes Confidence Vote On Namadi’s Leadership

Stakeholders of the Jigawa state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rose from its meeting with a strong confidence vote on the leadership of the state governor, Dr. Umar Namadi and reaffirmed their commitment to work with the governor to consolidate on the achievements of the party in  implementing its manifestos.

The meeting, which took place at the Government House, Dutse brought together key elected and non-elected officials, including senators, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, commissioners, and other party leaders as well as prominent political figures, notably former Governor Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu and former Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) in the Presidency, Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejua.

Discussions at the meeting, which was convened at the instance of the governor focused on critical party matters including the ongoing revalidation of party membership, preparations for forthcoming party congresses, and strategies to further consolidate the APC’s presence and performance in the state.

Namadi, in his remarks, expressed appreciation to party leaders and members for their steadfast commitment to unity and collective progress, reassuring the stakeholders that the APC under his leadership remains an inclusive platform where no member would be sidelined, as the party continues to strengthen its structures at all levels.

The governor disclosed that Jigawa State currently ranks second nationwide in the APC membership revalidation exercise, describing the achievement as commendable, and urging stakeholders to intensify mobilization efforts to enable the state to secure the top position.

 

The governor reaffirmed the party’s unity and commended its growing strength and progress across the state, noting that the unity and cohesion of the party was the panaceas for the strength of the party in the state.

Participants at the meeting commended Governor Namadi’s leadership style, particularly his commitment to fairness and justice, which they said has enhanced the party’s acceptance among the people of thestate.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution by stakeholders to work collaboratively towards the peaceful and successful conduct of the forthcoming party congresses and to ensure the APC’s continued success in future electoral contests.
