…Igbiti’s Reign Will Be Beneficial To The Institute, Oyegunle Assures

The new President of Chartered Insurance Institute Of Nigeria (CIIN), Mr. Edwin Igbiti has called on insurance industry stakeholders to collaborate with the Federal Government to curb the insecurity and other crimes in the country.
This is just as the immediate past President of the institute Sir Muftau Oyegunle has assured that Igbiti’s tenure will be beneficial to the Institute calling on the support of other stakeholders to move the institute to the desired height.
The outgoing President who gave the assurance during his welcome address at the investiture of Mr Edwin Igbiti as the 51st President of the Institute said Igbit has proven to be a man of ethics and professionalism.
He said “During my tenure as the 50th President, Mr. Igbiti’s comradeship and understanding is one worth applauding, he exhibited professionalism and integrity which made the administration a sensation and with good memories for the future.”
“Mr. Igbiti is a tenacious and resilient leader and his reign will be beneficial to the Institute. I can confidently say this because of his trajectory of success in various positions and capacities occupied in the industry,” he said.
On the socio-economic situation in the country , Igbiti said the need to curb the menace of insecurity and other crimes require that we collaborate with all tiers of government with the aim of re-emphasising the essence of insurance as the infrastructural pillar for the growth and development of country.
“I implore you to collaborate with me in this new dispensation as the task ahead calls for teamwork and effective collaboration,” he said.
He appreciated the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. O. S. Thomas, all Past Presidents and other members of the Governing Council of the institute and his friends for their unwavering support.
