Horror: Gunmen Kidnaps Appeal Court Judge, Justice Nwosu-Iheme, Kill Police Orderly
Hon.Justice Nwosu Iheme of the Federal Court Of Appeal, Benin City, Edo state has been kidnapped by dare devil and violent gunmen in Benin City.
Justice Nwosu-Iheme is the chairman of the three-man panel sitting on the appeals arising from the 2019 State and National Assembly elections in Edo State.
Reports said that the vicious gunmen on Wednesday, who killed her police orderly before the abduction, was said to have trailed and intercepted her Jeep along Benin-Agbor road near Christ Choosen Church.
An eye witness said that a Toyota Voltron car måde up of four unknown gunmen suddenly overtook the Judge’s car where they immediately opened fire, killing the police orderly on the spot.
“They then shot the tyre of the jeep forcing the driver to stop. The female judge was hurriedly whisked into the hoodlums’ car while she was tåken to unknown destination.
Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danmallam Mohammed who confirmed the incident said attempts are on by the police to rescue her.
“A Justice was kidnapped today in Benin City but security measures are in place to rescue her and bring the hoodlums to book by the power of the Almighty God.”
As at the time of writing the report, the kidnappers are yet to make any contact or demand.
