Herbert Wigwe: Nigerian Insurers Association Mourns With Access Holdings Plc, Others

The Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) is deeply saddened by the devastating news of the untimely demise of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, along with his wife and son, in a tragic helicopter crash in the United States.
 
The somber event also claimed the life of former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
 
In a heartfelt statement, NIA Chairman Olusegun Omosehin expressed profound condolences to the grieving families and the entire Access Holdings Group during this period of profound sorrow.
 
The NIA eulogized the late Herbert Wigwe as a distinguished banker, a devoted patriot, and a significant voice in the financial sector, attributing to him immense contributions to Nigeria’s economic advancement.
 
His passing, the association lamented, represents an irreplaceable loss to both the financial sector and the nation at large.
 
NIA prayed the Almighty to grant the bereaved families the fortitude to withstand the anguish of these untimely departures.
