Sequel to the recently signing into law establishing State Hisbah Board, the Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has approved the constitution of the Hisbah Board with the appointment of new leaderships to man it.
Consequently, the governor has approved the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Faiz as the Pioneer Commander-General of the Board. Other officials named are Dr. Husaini Yusuf Baban as Deputy Commander-General and Lawan Danbala as Assistant Commander-General, Headquarters.
Also named are Yunusa Idris Barau Assistant Commander-General, Dutse Zone; Abdulkadir Zakari as Assistant Commander-General, Hadejia Zone, Suraja Adamu Assistant Commander-General, Gumel Zone, Bello Musa Gada, Assistant Commander-General, Kazaure Zone, and Barrister Mustapha Habu, Secretary/Legal Adviser,
The Secretary to the State Government, (SSG) Malam Bala Ibrahim who confirmed the developments said they were parts of the governor’s efforts to sanitize society and enhance the operations and effectiveness of the new Hisbah Board.
Ibrahim emphasized that these appointments were made based on merit, competence, and personal integrity, urging the appointees to meet the expectations placed upon them.
The appointees have received their letters of appointment and are prepared to start their duties immediately.
In response to their appointments, Muhammad Faiz expressed gratitude to the governor and pledged to work diligently in their new roles.
