Finally, Onoja Sworn In As Kogi Deputy Governor

Governor Yahaya Bello’s running mate in the forthcoming November 16 election, Edward Onoja has been sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Nasir Ajanah

Onoja just took the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance administered to him. The Chief Judge was supported by the Chief Registrar of the state judiciary.

The event was witnessed by Governor Yahaya Bello, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole; members of the state assembly, political office holders, politicians and other well wishers of Onoja.

The swearing in of Onoja as deputy governor followed the impeachment of Elder Simon Achuba by the Kogi State House Assembly over alleged acts of gross misconduct following the report of an investigative panel  set up by the assembly to probe him.
