The federal government of Nigeria, Sunday night released 23 additional names of alleged treasury looters during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government.

The latest list of alleged corrupt government officials released by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government is certainly in a bid to prove that it has more names of persons as classified since the earlier list released was picked holes by critics of the administration, especially the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who dominated the list.

The PDP accused APC of being selective and biased in the compilation of the earlier list and prosecution of the fight against corruption as only those suspected to be aligned with the PDP were singled out in the media trial and conviction.

A statement by the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said that the federal government would neither be
intimidated nor blackmailed into silence.

He maintained that the government would also not rest until all those who looted the public treasury had been brought to justice.
