GOCOP New National Executive Committee.
The publisher of the Newsdiary Online, Danlami Nmodu, mni, has been sworn in as President of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers, GOCOP.
Nmodu took oath of office alongside other national executive members at the 9th annual conference of GOCOP held on Thursday, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
The election of the new officers was conducted on Wednesday during the Guild’s Annual General Congress.
Other members of the new executives are: the publisher of QED.Ng, Olumide Iyanda as Vice President; the publisher of The Conclave, Sufuyan Ojeifo as General Secretary and the publisher of Prompt News Online, Akeem Oyetunji as Deputy General Secretary.
Also on the new exco are: Ngozi Onyeakusi, the publisher of SuperNews.ng as treasurer, Moses Ebosele, the publisher of City Business News as financial secretary and Frontline News Online publisher, Kemi Yesufu as publicity secretary.
Mr. Nmodu, garnered 63 votes to defeat his opponent, Segun Adeleye, the publisher of World Stage, who polled 17 votes.
In his inaugural speech, the new GOCOP president said his regime would give priority to training and retraining of members.
Mr. Nmodu takes over from Ms. Maureen Chigbo, Ph.D.
