Couple Married For 63 Years Dies Minutes Apart

Bob Huntley and Edna Huntley have been married for 63 years. Their relationship started out a little rocky after Bob stood Edna up on their first date to go hunting.

She forgave him and soon they were married. Tragedy struck earlier this year when Edna was diagnosed with late-stage cancer. At this point, Bob had already been suffering from dementia for some time.

According to the source, Briefly.co.za learned that on the 20th of March Edna died in her sleep and less than an hour later her husband, Bob passed away as well according to idahostatejournal.com.

A few days before their passing, Edna had told a friend that: ’When one of us dies, they’re going to wrap the hand of the other and take them along.’

Kenneth Huntley, the couples son, said that his dad would not have been able to live without Edna.

Kenneth and his brother Ron were grateful that they got to spend one last Thanksgiving and Christmas with their mom and dad.

Edna and Bob had moved to Nampa, Florida, to be closer to their daughters and their sons often joined them for special holidays.

Their marriage was such a success and inspiration to other couples. They were survived by three daughters, two sons, 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.- Naija.ng
