The APC Presidential Campaign Council, South East Directorate has met with a resolve among other things, to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari wins overwhelmingly in the South East region in forthcoming presidential election.

The inaugural meeting held in Enugu, Thursday, according to a statement by the Director, South East APC Presidential Campaign Council, Mrs Sharon Ikeazor, witnessed mass turnout of party leaders and party executives from the National, Zonal and State levels.

Dignitaries who graced the meeting include, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of Science and Technology who represented Ministers from the South East; former Governor, Sullivan Chime represented former governors.

Others include APC Zonal Vice Chairman South East, Mr Emma Eneukwu; APC National Auditor, Chief George Moghalu; APC Gubernatorial candidate in the upcoming election, Senator Hope Uzodinma as well as Senator Ayogu Eze, Chief Uche Ogah and Chief Sunny Ugwuogi were also in attendance.

Also present were the APC National assembly candidates, Senator Ben Uwajumogu, Senator Andy Uba, Senator Julius Ucha, and Senator Margery Chuba-Okadigbo amongst others.

The former Ministers also present included Chief Emeka Wogu and Professor Chinwe Obaji.

State Chairmen from the five South Eastern States, National Working Committee members and political appointees including Mr Osita Okechukwu, Juliet Ibekaku, Princess Gloria Akobundu and South East Stakeholders.

Apart from resolving to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari wins overwhelmingly in the South Eastern region, they also agreed to reconcile, restore and reintegrate into the APC fold disenchanted members.

Further, they resolved to forget their differences from the fallout of party primaries and unite to win the presidential election and other elections for the APC; to work together as a formidable team to deliver President Muhammadu Buhari in the forth coming election and change the negative narrative and perception in the South East and embark on a door to door and community to community campaign, showcasing the President’s achievements in the South East region.

They expressed gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in Mrs Sharon Ikeazor, their mother, daughter and sister who has a wide reach in the five eastern states and beyond.

The party leaders pledged to support her in carrying out her task going by her successful antecedents as a former National Women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Member of the Board of Trustees of the APC.
