Charles Igwe Scores Highest, Emerge As UNN VC

Professor Charles Igwe has beaten other shortlisted candidates in an interview to emerge as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).

According to a statement signed by the University’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Okwun Omeaku, Igwe will take over from the outgoing vice chancellor, Professor Benjamin Ozurumba whose tenure ends on 14th June.

Until his appointment, he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration in the university and a former Dean of Faculty of Agriculture.

Omeaku stated “Mr Igwe scored highest in the selection process to beat other shortlisted candidates for the job.”

“Today the senate council of the university has announced Igwe as the new VC of UNN, having scored the highest marks during interview of candidates,” he stated.
