WAEC Result Portal Temporarily Unavailable

Following the official release of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced a temporary disruption in access to its result checker portal, www.waecdirect.org.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, WAEC informed the public that the portal is currently down due to technical issues. The Council assured candidates and stakeholders that its technical team is already working to restore access, with full functionality expected within the next 24 hours.

“WAEC hereby informs the general public that the result checker portal @waecdirect.org is temporarily shut down due to technical issues,” the statement read.

“However, the Council is working assiduously to ensure that candidates are able to access their results in the next 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you. Thank you.”

The development comes shortly after the much-anticipated release of the 2025 WASSCE results, which thousands of students across the country have been eagerly waiting for. While some candidates were initially able to access their results before the disruption, others experienced delays in reaching the platform.

WAEC emphasized that the issue is temporary and unrelated to the result data itself. The Council also reiterated its commitment to a smooth result-checking process and advised candidates to remain patient as the portal is being restored.

In the meantime, WAEC encourages the public to rely only on official communication channels for updates and to avoid alternative platforms that may not be authorized or secure.

Despite the brief hiccup, the release of the 2025 WASSCE results marks a significant academic milestone for students nationwide, and full access is expected to resume shortly.
