President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of federal commissioners of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the new board of the Tertiary Education Trust Funds (TETFund)
Those appointed as RMAFC Federal Commissioners include: Mrs. Linda Nkechi Oti — Abia, Mr. Akpan Imo Effiong — Akwa Ibom, Mr. Enefe Ekene — Anambra, Professor Steve Ugba — Benue, Chief Eyonsa — Cross-River, Aruviere Egharhevwe — Delta, Nduka Henry Awuregu — Ebonyi, Mr. Victor Eboigbe — Edo, Hon. Wumi Ogunlola — Ekiti, Hon. Ozo Obumreme Obodougo — Enugu, Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Mashi — Katsina and Hon. Adamu Fanda — Kano.
Others are Dr. Kunle Wright — Lagos, Mr. Aliyu Almakura Abdulkadir — Nasarawa, Mr. Bako Shetima — Niger, Mr. Samuel Durojaye — Ogun, Mr. Nathaniel Adejutelegan — Ondo, Hon. Saad Bello Ibrahim — Plateau, Mr. Modu-Aji Juluri — Yobe, Alhaji Bello Rabiu Garba — Zamfara and Mr. Mohammed Kabeer Usman — Gombe
Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale said the appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate as president expects the new federal commissioners to demonstrate absolute fidelity to the nation in the discharge of their duties.
The newly appointed board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) are Alhaji Aminu Masari — Chairman, Senator Sani Danladi — Member, Mr. Sunday Adepoju — Member, Mr. Nurudeen Adeyemi — Member, Mrs. Esther Onyinyechukwu Ukachukwu — Member, Mr. Turaki Ibrahim — Member and Mr. Aboh Eduyok — Member
The President expressed expectations that the new members of the board of this pivotal institutional vehicle to be dedicated and committed to driving TETFund’s objective of providing the needed support for tertiary education with a view to enhancing the productivity and quality of higher education.
