Stakeholders Back NAIPE’s 10th Annual Insurance and Pension Conference

No fewer than 28 organisations from the insurance, pensions, and financial services sectors have thrown their weight behind the upcoming 10th annual conference of the Nigerian Association of Insurance and Pension Editors (NAIPE).

The conference, themed “Strengthening Insurance and Pension Frameworks for a Better Economy,” is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, in Lagos.

It has attracted sponsorship and support from a wide range of institutions, including insurers, brokers, pension fund operators, regulators, and professional bodies.

They are African Reinsurance Corporation; SanlamAllianz Insurance Nigeria; NEM Insurance Plc; Rex Insurance Limited; Linkage Assurance Plc; Parthian Partners; NEM Insurance Plc; Unitrust Insurance Nig. Limited; Arm Access Pension; Veritas Kapital Assurance; National Insurance Commission (NAICOM); National Pension Commission (PenCom); Stanbic IBTC Insurance Limited; Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp); and Leadway Assurance Company Limited.

‎Others are Anchor Insurance Company Limited; Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc; SUNU Assurances Nig.Plc; emPLE Insurance; Scib Insurance Brokers; Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIIN); Heirs Insurance Group; Staco Insurance Plc; NSIA Insurance Company Limited; Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc; Guinea Insurance Plc; Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA); and Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB).

Chairperson of NAIPE, Mrs. Nkechi Naeche-Esezobor, expressed delight at the level of support secured for this year’s edition. She attributed the growing acceptance of the conference to its consistency and impact on both the insurance and pension industries, as well as on the wider economy.

“Every year, the conference keeps getting better, attracting more sponsorship not only from insurance and pension stakeholders but also from other sectors of the economy. This increased support underscores the general acceptance of the conference because of the consistency and impact it has created,” she said.

The conference will be chaired by Mr. Olorundare Sunday Thomas, former Commissioner for Insurance and CEO of NAICOM. The keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Olatunde Amolegbe, Managing Director/CEO of Arthur Stevens Asset Management Limited.

Expected as Special Guests of Honour are the Commissioner for Insurance and CEO of NAICOM, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, and the Director-General of PenCom, Ms. Omolara Oloworaran.

A panel session will feature notable industry leaders, including Mrs. Bola Odukale, Director-General of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA); Mr. Oguche Agudah, CEO of PenOp; Mr. Adetunbi Ashaye, Head of Operations at Parthian Pensions Ltd; Mr. Makanjuola Tubi, Executive Director of Business Development at emPLE Life Assurance; and Dr. Talmis Usman, Director of Legal, Enforcement and Market Development at NAICOM.

The NAIPE conference, now in its 10th year, has become a leading platform for dialogue and collaboration on how to strengthen Nigeria’s insurance and pension frameworks in support of economic growth.
