President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen and appointed an Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammed to replace him.

The Federal Government had before now asked Justice Onnoghen to step aside over alleged false assets declaration.

A federal high court had on Thursday halted the trial of Justice Onnoghen’s at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
