Finally, President Muhammadu Buhari has bowed to protracted pressures from concerned Nigerians to address the nation of the strategies in place to combat the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country.
Since entry of the Coronavirus into Nigeria, most Nigerians had been eager to hear from the President like his counterparts in other countries who are personally leading the fight but he was not forthcoming.
Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), indicated that the President’s intention to address the nation today by March 29, 2020 at 7pm.
Adesina said: “President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”
