In a bid to inspire Nigeria youths to greatness, Chief Executive Officer,Standbic IBTC Holdings Plc, Mr. Yinka Sanni has assured young Nigerians that despite the fact they are seen as young millennium in the society, Standbic IBTC sees Nigerian youths as business leaders, scholars, innovators and high proffered professionals with whom the company is honoured to partner with.
Following the quest for dynamic leaders with entrepreneurial spirit in the country, Standbic IBTC has taken upon it’s shoulders to raise sound leaders in the society, featuring award winning movie and music director, Kemi Adetiba, Co-founder and Chief Executive officer of Farmcrowdy and women’s rights activist and founder of pearls Africa youth foundation in 2019 Edition of its Youth Leadership series.
The second edition of the Youth Leadership series which was held in Lagos, Friday with the theme “Against all odds” was targeted at encouraging young people to be dynamic leaders with entrepreneurial spirit in any sphere of life they have chosen for themselves.
In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer, Standbic IBTC holdings Plc, Mr. Yinka Sanni stated that “as a member of the Standbic bank group being around for over 150 years, it is clear to us that sustainability of our brand is very important, however we do appreciate that our future is closely woven with that of the energetic and hardworking Nigerian Youth.”
Reiterating the history of the company, Sanni noted that the investment and trust company Ltd which clocked 30years today 2nd February, was incorporated as a merchant bank by an innovative and audacious young Nigerian, Mr Atedo Peterside, commander of the order of Niger and Founder Standbic IBTC bank Plc at 33, that seed he said propel by a Nigerian youth is what is known by Standbic IBTC.
According to the CEO, the well respected triple A company as quoted on the Nigerian Stock exchange and one of the most capitalised is poised at supporting and partnering with the younger generation as part of the company’s strategy.

In his optimism, Sanni stated that the three speakers who are leaders in their areas of calling and have inspiring stories to share will positively impact the lives of the attendees.
Also Speaking, The Award-winning Movie and Music Director, director of popular movies “Wedding Party 1” and “King of Boys” Kemi Adetiba. encouraged Nigerian Youths to be hardworking, maximize opportunities like this leadership series when presented, furthermore she encouraged the them to be volunteers to successful leaders as that is one of the ladder to greatness.

A guest speaker at the Event, Onyeka Akumah, Founder and CEO of Farmcrowdy (The First Nigerian digital agriculture Platform) attributed his success to the training and entrepreneurial mindset imbibed in him by his parents, he urged Nigerian parents to encourage their children to have the entrepreneurial spirit in whatsoever they do.
Women’s right activists and founder of Pearls Africa Youth Foundation, Abisoye Ajayi Akin Folarin, another guest speaker shared a touching story of how she was able to move from obscurity to lime light despite the maltreatment she got from her father and how she organized her first event spending all she had without making a dime.
She adviced the Youths to thrive to success against all odds, adding that they should put all their strength into their dreams “although I didn’t make money from my first event but there can’t be a second edition without the first.” she said
