Nigeria’s Daily COVID-19 Cases Jumps To 204 As Kano Tops With 80 Cases
Nigeria’s daily confirmation of COVID-19 cases jumped to 204 new cases as Kano State alone had 80 new cases.
This brings Nigeria’s total infections to 1,932 as Thursday, 30th April, 2020.
According to a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, of the new infections, 80 are in Kano, 45 are in Lagos, while 12 are in Gombe.
Others are 9-Bauchi, 9-Sokoto, 7-Borno, 7-Edo, 6-Rivers, 6-Ogun, 4-FCT, 4-Akwa Ibom, 4-Bayelsa, 3-Kaduna, 2-Oyo, 2-Delta, 2-Nasarawa, 1-Ondo and 1-Kebbi.
Thursday’s new cases are the highest reported in a day since the NCDC started compiling the pandemic data in February.
The number of deaths from the virus also rose to 58 while 319 have now recovered.
