New Jigawa CP Promises Hard time For Criminals, Advises Them To Relocate

The police, while outlining his operational strategies during his maiden media in interaction in Dutse on Thursday, said he was determined to translate the vision of the Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun’s community policing into reality.

He also pledged to strengthen Inter-Agency collaboration, enhance community partnership and engagement, intensify intelligence gathering, adopt proactive strategies, and promote respect for human rights.

Similarly, he promised proactive policing with a view to creating public confidence and trust in the police, diligent Investigation and prosecution as well as ensuring fair and prompt dispensation of justice.

The 24th police chief disclosed that the Command recorded a tremendous breakthrough, as a team of detectives from the State Intelligence Department (SID) Dutse arrested a notorious kidnapping kingpin, one Adamu Musa aged 47 of Yalwawa Quarters, Dutse LGA, who has been terrorizing residents of Sumaila LGA in the nearby Kano state.

On investigation, it was revealed that the suspect has kidnapped four residents of Sumaila LGA of Kano State on different occasions, and the victims were kept at Baranda village, Dutse LGA, where he collected the sum of N 8 million and one motorcycle valued at N1 million ransom before the release of the victims.

He explained investigation into the matter has been completed, and the suspect has been charged to court.

On 07/08/2025 at about 0700hrs, one Abubakar Aliyu’ and two others, all of Malam-Madori Town, reported at Malam-Madori Division that, on the same date, at about 0630hrs, they discovered their shops located at Sharar Nguru Road were broken into, and the following items were stolen:(1) One safe box containing ₦870,000.00, (2) Two power banks, (3) One POS terminal, (4) About twenty (20) different handsets, (5) One Bluetooth speaker.

Upon receipt of the report, Police operatives acted promptly and raided a black spot at a railway station in Mallam-madori town, where the following suspects were arrested: (1) Nuhu Yusif Saleh ‘m’ 19 years old; (2) Hassan Ibrahim ‘m’ 19 years old; and (3) Nura Musa ‘m’ 22 years old, all of Malam Madori LGA, and all the exhibits, including the safe box containing cash the sum of Eight Hundred and Seventy Thousand Naira (₦870,000.00), were recovered from the suspects. The suspects were also charged to court after a discreet investigation.

His words, “The above-mentioned success reflects the unwavering efforts of the officers and men of the Command as well as the deliberate application of my three policing visions and strategies.

“These strategies have drastically reduced the crime rate in the state, sending a clear and resounding message to criminals that they cannot operate freely without being arrested.”

He commended the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the officers and men of the command. I also extend my sincere appreciation to the state governor, heads of sister security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community-based organizations, and the people of the state for providing the command with credible and actionable intelligence.

He assured the good citizens of the state tate that the Command is ready to collaborate and partner with all to ensure peace, safety, and security in the state.
