NEMA close all zonal offices as staff begin indefinite strike

Staff of the National Emergency Management Authority NEMA, have closed all zonal offices of the agency today as they  began an indefinite strike.

According to the unions, the agreement signed with the unions by the Minister of Labour and Employment has expired. The workers also complained of  non-payment of their allowances.

According to a statement released by the workers union, the directive to proceed on strike was issued by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) today October 19th
