The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has called on the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) to intensify efforts in advancing the professionalism and expertise of insurance practitioners in Nigeria.
During a strategic meeting with the CIIN leadership, led by its President, Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, the Commissioner for Insurance reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to providing a robust regulatory framework that supports industry growth while maintaining high standards.
He highlighted the need for collaboration to ensure the sector remains dynamic and credible.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of a skilled and ethical workforce in reshaping public perception and projecting a positive image of the insurance industry.
He urged the CIIN to bridge knowledge gaps through continuous professional development initiatives.
In her remarks, Mrs. Ilori commended the Commissioner for his regulatory strides and reiterated CIIN’s readiness to partner with NAICOM on efforts aimed at fostering professionalism and addressing sectoral challenges.
