Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe, 28 years old has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for canvassing through his social media tweets that all Igbos should be killed.
He had tweeted ‘Let’s kill all the Igbos’ on the 18th of May 2023.
He, however, later deleted the post after it went viral, generated incitement against the Igbos just as it received condemnation and was reported to the Nigeria Police for prompt investigation.

But after almost a month of search, the Nigeria Police through its spokesman, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said detectives from the Cybercrime section at SCID Osogbo swung into action after the report was received, adding the author of the tweet identified as Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe has been arrested.

“OSUN POLICE ARRESTS SOCIAL MEDIA USER WHO TWEETED ‘LET’S KILL ALL THE IGBOS’
Today 15th June 2023, the Osun Police Command has arrested one Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe ‘m’ 28 years who violated the social media policy on hate speech.
It could be recalled that, on 18th May 2023, the suspect, Kehinde Adekusibe, on his tweeter handle, tweeted, “Let’s kill all the Igbos Let’s flush them out of Yoruba lands. I hate these people with a passion. They are violent people. They are the worst. They hate us.
Let’s hate them without holding back. ” Immediately, the Police Command received the report, Police detective from the Cybercrime section at SCID Osogbo swung into action, and through intelligence-led investigation, the suspect was arrested at Ilesa where he hibernated.
The suspect has confessed to the crime, and he will be charged to the court after the completion of the investigation.
DSP Adejobi assured that criminals have no hiding place in the country as the force will ensure that they face the consequences of their actions.
We have done what is needed on this matter. It can only take some time, every offense committed leaves a trace, and culprits will surely face d music.
