LASU Emerges Winner Of Volvo SEK100,000 Research Grant

The Lagos State University School of Transportation and Logistics Research Team have emerged Winner of the Research grant worth SEK100,000 (Swedish Krona).

The team led by Professor S.G Odewunmi won the grant after it submitted a proposal to the Volvo Educational and Research Foundation (VREF).

According to a statement by the Institution, the Research is titled “A Study of the Causal Relationship between Quadruple Governance Authorities and the Perennial Traffic in Apapa Port Area of Lagos State Nigeria”

Following the award, the VREF has also named LASU School of Transport and Logistics as a Centre of Excellence for Transport Research and Education.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, congratulates the team for their success, which has further strengthened LASU’s place as a Research and innovation hub. She also describes it as a significant step in the race to becoming the best university in West Africa, and promises to give the team all needed support in executing the project.
