Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state has described the death of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari as a national loss, which would be difficult to replace.
The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Hamisu Gumel last night said Buhari was, a revered leader who served Nigeria with dedication, integrity, and discipline.
“On behalf of the government and people of Jigawa State, Governor Malam Umar Namadi extends heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late President, praying for strength, comfort, and the fortitude to bear this profound loss.
“The governor also extended condolences to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the government and people of Katsina State, and the entire nation.
“The late President Buhari will be remembered for his unalloyed commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria, his principled leadership, and his lifelong dedication to public service.
“Jigawa State joins the nation in mourning a statesman and praying to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannah.”
