Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme, the alleged Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination candidate accused of manipulating her result to 362 and her father, Ejikeme have blasted JAMB for failure to carry out thorough investigation of what actually transpired in its office before its hasty pronouncement.
JAMB had on Sunday alleged that Mmesoma, the top scorer had inflated her score from 249 to 362 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, thus parading herself as the 2023 UTME top scorer.
But in their responses, Mmesoma claimed that she printed her result from the JAMB portal which showed her aggregate result as 362.
In a viral video of her while displaying her print out result slip, she said that they accused her of forging her result, which of course, she is innocent of, adding that she has been traumatized and saddened.
She disclosed that when the QR Code on her result print out was scanned initially, it showed another Yoruba name, Omotola Afolabi with an initial 138 score. Further, she said when it was crosscheck for the second time, the same person’s score changed to 338.
According to Mmesoma, “This shows that there is problem somewhere.” She narrated that when she went to the Commissioner for education (Anambra State) with her principal last Friday, her scanned result slip was sent to JAMB office, but only for JAMB to call back to declare that her result was a forged result.
She lamented that even after going to JAMB office where DSS were also invited to take her statement for investigation, JAMB didn’t not wait for the conclusion and outcome of the investigation before publicly declaring that she forged her result.
Mmesoma declared that she is not an illiterate person but rather an intelligent and brilliant student who has been taking first position right from her nursery school and even her Common Entrance Examination result was above 300 score.
On his part, her father Ejikeme who corroborated her daughter’s stance in an interview with NAN, claimed that Mmesoma had always come out as the overall best student from her nursery school days till date.
Ejikeme made the disclosure while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Onitsha.
According to him, “My daughter has been taking the first position from her nursery school till now. Some of these results are still with me and I have shown them to some journalists who came to my house and they were surprised.
“I showed her results to them and they were like wow. Those who have met with her will know she can’t manipulate results.
“I am just explaining to the world that my daughter’s result has been manipulated. I am not happy about it, they gave her results to another person and they are still intimidating her. What they are doing is not good.”
