The prophecy of popular fiery Catholic Priest of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka, on Imo governorship tussle at Supreme Court has come to reality as the apex court sacked erstwhile Governor, Emeka Ihedioha (PDP) and declared Sen. Hope Uzodinma (APC) winner of the March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state.
Supreme Court on Tuesday declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of Imo state 2019 governorship poll and nullifying the election of Emeka Ihedioha.
The seven-man panel of the Supreme Court in a unanimous decision on Tuesday, held that Ihedioha did not win the majority of votes cast at the March 9 governorship election.
In the Judgment delivered by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, the court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Ihedioha and issued a fresh Certificate of Return to the candidate of the APC having won the majority of lawful votes cast at the election.
The court held that the lower courts erred in law when it were rejected evidence tendered before them to the extent that votes from 388 polling units were not credited to the APC and Hope Uzodinma.
Recall that Action Alliance’s governorship candidate in the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Imo State, Mr Uche Nwosu had earlier today withdrawn the appeal he filed against the election of Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
Rev. Fr. Mbaka, had reportedly been quoted to have said in his new year prophetic narration that “In spite of all the hard time that would happen this 2020, there is hope. In Imo State, there is hope, Hope, hope…hope in Imo State.
“Imo people have suffered and God is raising a new hope that would be an agent of salvation for them. He is coming with a new flag to restore the dignity of that noble land; a new leadership that will break barriers and there will be joy in the land of Imo.”
“Lift your candles as I bless Hope Uzodinma; and I empower him to spiritually take over. How, I do not know.”
“Please, if you heard that there would be a new government in Imo and you don’t like the message; if I say hope, you can say hopeless but do not fight me.”
