The Jigawa state governor Umar Namadi has continued to receive sympathizers across the country who have been coming to condole him on the tragic loss of his mother and eldest son last week.
Among the latest visitors to him in Kafin Hausa Sunday were the Chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum and Bauchi state Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and his Yobe state counterpart, Mai Mala Buni, Emir Muhammad Sanusi II of Kano, the leadership of the opposition PDP in the state led by the governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, Mustapha Sule Lamido among others.
The governor had on Wednesday lost his mother the late Hajia Maryam Namadi and a day after on Thursday, Abdulwahab, his eldest son also died in an auto crash along Dutse-Kafin Hausa road
Gov. Mohammed described the death of the duo as a heartbreaking and one of the deepest pains anyone can endure, urging governor Namadi and his family to accept it as an act of destiny.
He prayed Almighty Allah to grant their souls eternal rest in perfect paradise and give fortitude to the family and Jigawa state people to bear the lost.
Dr. Sanusi, who paid a similar visit to commiserate with Jigawa people over the double tragedy which struck governor’s family, urged him and the people of the state to accept Allah’s decision as final.
He, however, prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and prayed Allah SWT to grant the governor, his immediate family and the entire people of the state the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The delegation of the leadership of opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) Jigawa state chapter lead by its gubernatorial candidate in the last 2023 election Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido had equally visited Kafin Hausa to commiserate with Governor, his family and entire people of the state over the heat lost.
Similarly in a statement issued by the coalition of civil societies under the umbrella of Jigawa Social Protection Platform also extended their heartfelt condolences to the governor over the tragedy,
Shuaibu Kafin Gana, the group’s chairman prayed that Almighty Allah grants the deceased eternal rest in Al Jannatul Firdausi, and provides to the governor, family, and the people of Jigawa State the strength and fortitude to bear this immense loss.
