Former Presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party in Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi, has congratulated Ghana’s President-elect, John Mahama, on his election victory.
He noted that Mahama’s victory “stands as an example of the democratic values and political maturity our beloved continent so needs”
In a post on his X handle, Obi who was a former governor of Anambra State, urged the Ghana’s President-elect to use the opportunity to effect “transformative achievements in the critical areas of development, education, health, pulling Ghanaian people out of poverty, and inspiring progress and unity across Africa.”
