FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria Beats Deadline, Releases 21-Team Squad

Nigeria has beat the deadline for the submission of team list for the forthcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup slated to kick off in France from August 5.

 The Head Coach of Nigeria U- 20 women’s football team, Falconets, Christopher Danjuma Musa,  met the deadline with the submission of final list of 21 players.

The Squad has  three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders and six forwards with striker, Rashidat Ajibade;  goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Captain, Oluwakemi Famuditi.

Four players from the team of 25 taken  to Austria for final training  ahead of Nigeria’s first match in France on August 6 against Germany, were dropped.

The four include: goalkeeper, Mercy Vincent of Confluence Queens, midfielder Lilian Tule of Bayelsa Queens forwards- Charity Ruben of Ibom Angels and Folashade Ijamilusi of Spring Soccer Academy and are expected back home in August 2.
