Minister of Power, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu has indicated the Federal government’s plans of intervening in the stalled 40MW Dadinkowa Power project in Gombe state.
He said however, that he would study the relevant documents pertaining to the Power projects and make appropriate recommendation for the completion of the project.
He affirmed this Monday, when the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya paid him a courtesy visit, in Abuja.
The Minister, who appreciated the Governor for taking his time off to see him, and congratulate him on his elevation from Minister of State, Works and Housing to Substantive Minister of Power, described the visit as brotherly and friendly.
Governor Yahaya said he was in Abuja to congratulate his brother and friend, Engr. Aliyu on his new appointment as a Minister of Power.
He added that it was an opportunity to brief the Minister on the position or state of the 40MW Dadinkowa Power project and other hydropower projects in Gombe State that needed federal government intervention.
