Cultism: LASU VC Urges Students to Avoid, Report Pressure, Adhere To Dress Code

Officials attending to the LASU newly admitted students at the university’s central screening exercise for the newly admitted students for 2018/2019 academic session in the university’s auditorium.

 

Following the rise in cultism rampaging  universities in Nigeria, Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun SAN has urged the LASU newly admitted students to be of good behaviour, adhere strictly to the university dress code, avoid any pressure to join cult and report anyone trying to lure them into joining cult to the security officers.

Fagbohun addressed the students at the university’s central screening exercise for the newly admitted students for 2018/2019 academic session, which started on Friday, 1st March and will end on Friday, 8th March, 2019 at the university’s Main Auditorium.

The Vice Chancellor welcomed them officially to Lagos State University and congratulated them for making it to this stage.

“Over forty thousand (40,000) candidates chose to come to the University but less than six thousand (6,000) were offered admission.”

“I admonish you today to be of good behaviour, adhere strictly to the university dress code, avoid any pressure to join cult and report anyone trying to lure them into joining cult to the the security officers.” He said

The VC, also commended the screening committee headed by the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Wahab Elias for a job well done and for the orderliness in the auditorium.
