Speaking on the event, the President of the Institute, Dr. Muftau Oyegunle said that the event was created for the purpose of promoting insurance awareness, intellectual prowess and gender equality as it will showcase the intellectual capabilities of the next generation of insurance practitioners in the industry; and this will consequently help boost insurance adoption.

He added that the Talent Night will replace the Miss Insurance Pageantry Programme as it will be held annually as the pageantry.

“If you watch what happened this night, The purpose is achieved, The younger generation in the insurance industry, the underwriters, staffs are all involved and those are people we want to listen to because the future we talk about belongs to them”

“I am so happy that it is turning out this way. It is going to be an annual event, it is replacing the Miss Insurance totally. The idea is to test their idea and knowledge of insurance and that is what the question is all about and they can represent us any day any time as insurance practioners.”

“The Insurance companies sponsored their staff to participate, 10 to 12 companies registered which for us is a good start. We have to make noise from this one to let the other insurance companies that are not here know that we are out and serious about it. More people will be interested in this than miss insurance.”
On the Miss Insurance Pageantry programme, he said that some companies were complaining that they don’t understand our business with Miss Insurance that is not why we are here but this is an intellectual thing , our constituency will surely appreciate it.”

“Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight’s event is the first of its kind and the maiden edition of our social night. It is vital to note that the ‘CIIN Nite of Talents’ is a remodel and departure from the former ‘Miss Insurance Pageantry’ programme.”

In his optimism, he said “Ladies and Gentlemen, be assured that activities that will take place this night will be captivating and exciting. We have here with us several top personalities in the industry and associate bodies; this already adds glamour to this event you will agree with me aside the rich entertainment we have in place for you.”

“There are plethora of activities lined up for your pleasure tonight and I can guarantee you will have an unforgettable experience. Remember the popular parlance: All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy but I will say “All work and no fun makes the Insurance Industry Dull”. So, relax and enjoy this thrilling event as we will be unwinding, mingling and generally showcasing our intellects in a laid back and cordial environment.” he said.
