Boko Haram Bombs Maiduguri, Many Wounded, Killed

Unspecified number of persons were Tuesday killed while others were wounded as suspected terrorists group, Boko Haram attacked Maiduguri with multiple bombs.

Sources claimed that about 13 persons and 40 persons may have been killed and wounded respectively during Tuesday’s evening attack.

The attack coincided with the clearance of Boko Haram and ISWAP from Marte and takeover by Nigerian troops.

The attacks were said to have been launched at Maiduguri outskirts including Gwange, Layin Bori and Bulabulin axis of Maiduguri city.

Noise of the explosions threw the residents of Maiduguri into panic but the timely intervention of combined team of security operatives calmed the residents.

The major casualties was said to have been recorded at a football pitch in Gwange near the House of Late General Mamman Shuwa, who was one of the earlier casualties of insurgency in the state.

At the football pitch, nine boys who were playing football early evening were killed by the shot rocket.
