***Says “I Jog More Than A Mile, Work, Create Jobs”
Frontline contender of President Muhammadu Buhari’s job and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has asked Buhari to forget the mere 800 Metres trek or walk but work for the people.
Abubakar, who is a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as a presidential aspirant, said trekking is not a criteria for performance and qualification for a second term for President Buhari.
It would be recalled that the presidential media team of Buhari had released pictures and tweeted that the fact that the President had trekked 800 meters back home on Sallah day was an indication that he is healthy enough for second term with effect from 2019.
But in his reaction, Atiku Abubakar through his Twitter handle @atiku, dismissed the 800 Metres, saying he regularly jog more than a mile apart from other physical exercise.
He said although, the jogging and exercise is not a justification for asking Nigerians to vote for him, but because he can create jobs and work.
According to the for Vice President who also released his picture while exercising, “I regularly jog more than a mile & exercise, but it will be pedestrian of me to ask Nigerians to vote for me because of that.
“I want my party – the PDP, and Nigerians, to vote for me because I WORK not because I WALK. I will work to create jobs. I won’t walk to create an illusion.”
