A Salvation Army Captain, Ernestna Jack, based in Guruve district of Zimbabwe has been arrested for allegedly raping a Grade six pupil.

According to Zimnews, last week Jack took the six-year-old girl from Chemachinda Primary School, under the Salvation Army, and ordered her to perform some household chores before raping her while her friends were playing outside.

“The accused is currently assisting police with investigations after he was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl.

“He reportedly took her into his house during his wife’s absence and ordered her to do household chores while her friends were playing outside,” a source claimed.

The case came to light after the minor told the School Development Committee chairman who subsequently told the headmaster of the school.

The headmaster wrote a letter to Guruve District Schools Inspector, Penius Dambuzainforming him about the abuse.

When contacted for comment Dambuza could neither confirm nor deny the incident saying he was yet to get a formal report.
