Again, Jigawa Pilgrims Board Extends Payment For Hajj Fare

For the second time in less than two months, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, (JSMWB) has extended the deadline for the payment of 2025 Hajj fare.

The board’s spokesperson, Habibu Yusuf Babura, announced the payment extension in a statement on Wednesday.

Babura said the development followed a directive from the National Hajj Commission, (NAHCON).

The board had earlier fixed January 30 as payment deadline and later extended it to February 15 for registration of intending pilgrims Hajj 2025.

He quoted the Director-General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, as announcing the latest deadline on Wednesday during an inspection orientation for intending pilgrims across the state.

Labbo stated that the payment window would remain open for intending pilgrims until 7 March, 2025 to give them enough time to meet up their payment deadline.

He further revealed that, the board has so far remitted over N 6 billion to the National Hajj Commission in respect of intending pilgrims from Jigawa State.

Labbo, urged staff and Local Government Hajj Zonal Officers to put in greater effort while discharging their duties.

The Director-General commended the state governor, Umar Namadi, for his commitment to the welfare of the state’s pilgrims.
